Music: The Lamb Has Overcome

"American radio broadcaster Paul Harvey once told a modern parable about a religious skeptic, who worked as a farmer.  One raw winter night, the man heard an irregular thumping sound against the kitchen storm door.  He went to a window and watched as tiny, shivering sparrows attracted to the evident warmth inside, beat in vain against the glass.
Touched, the farmer bundled up and trudged through fresh snow to open the barn door for the struggling birds.  He turned on the lights and tossed some hay in a corner.  But the sparrows, which had scattered in all directions when he emerged from the house, hid in the darkness, afraid.
The man tried various tactics to get them into the barn.  He laid down a trail of saltine cracker crumbs to direct them.  He tried circling behind the birds to drive them toward the barn.  Nothing worked.  He, a  huge alien creature, had terrified them; the birds couldn't comprehend that he actually desired to help.
The farmer withdrew to his house and watched the doomed sparrows through a window.  As he stared, a thought hit him like lightning from a clear blue sky:  If only I could become a bird--one of them--just for a while.  Then I wouldn't frighten them so.  I could show them the way to the light, warmth and safety.
At the same moment, another thought dawned on him.  He had finally grasped the reason Jesus was born.
A man becoming a bird is nothing compared to God becoming a man.  The concept of a sovereign eternal being who created the universe, confining himself to a human body was-- and is--too much for some people to believe.  But how else could God truly communicate with us?"
(From the King James Student Bible)

God loved us so much that he sent his only son, Jesus.  Most kings are born in palaces with cradles draped in gold and are welcomed with the best that this world has to offer.  Most kings rule from lofty thrones and grand domains, but all too soon their kingdoms fall.  But the king of all kings came to us--a stranger and a child, born in a dark and lowly stable with common people and wild animals.  He knew no earthly privileges and wore no jeweled crowns, but He died to build a kingdom where grace and love abounds and to save us all from doom.
Still today he rules and reigns in the hearts of men who seek to see His kingdom come, so that they can reign with Him.  We cannot be torn apart by tongue or pen or sword, for we have reaped what Christ has sown.  His kingdom will not end, though earthly kingdoms pass away.  With Christ himself the cornerstone, time will prove as time as shown, the majesty is His alone and His kingdom will not end.

Here is how you can have a personal relationship with the God of the Universe.  Asking Christ to be your Savior is the greatest decision that you will ever make. Just ask for forgiveness for your sins and turn from the sins.  Turning away from your sins shows true repentance.  Ask Christ to come into your heart to be your King and your Redeemer.

John 3:16
16:  For God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not
        perish but have everlasting life.
17:  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn
the world, but that the world through Him
might be saved.
